London's rapper / producer duo Phoenix da Icefire and Husky Brown have today released their highly impressive new album "Panacea" through New Dawn Records.

As a member of Triple Darkness, Phoenix has long been regarded by many both at home and overseas as one of the most gifted lyricists to emerge from the UK. Husky's productions are a rare and dynamic fusion of contemporary hip hop, electronica, dub, bass, r&b and soul which provide the soundtrack for a narrative addressing many of today's most pressing issues. Delivered with trademark dexterous rhymes and creative wordplay, Phoenix sets his existential sights on the environment, mental health, knife crime, racism, well being, relationships and inner city life.

Facing the challenges head on, the engaging commentary still retains a refreshing message of hope at its core related through metaphorical concepts as abstract as they are grounded in reality. A multidimensional and unique debut offering which pushes boundaries and breaks from formulaic convention. Essential listening.

New Jersey's Tru Trilla releases his new album "God of Barz" through New Dawn Records on May 29th, the follow up to his EP "The Seymour Chronicles" which dropped on March 17th.

Production on the new album is courtesy of Newark native (now resident in LA) Clinton Place aka Jamal Nueve, Chicago's DNA Beatz, Barcelona's Sumerio Square and the UK's Chat One. Fellow 050 Boyz group member Prince Ak is included in the Brick City contingent of featured artists together with Fly Kwa, Middy Murdock and Confucious.  This one's for the heads, raw and uncompromising, the energy is intense as Tru tackles political tensions, corruption, equal opportunities and the current state of hip hop delivered in a series of fierce and passionate rhymes over a raucous soundtrack that will give the neck muscles a serious work out.

First single "Word of God" produced by DNA Beatz aims the gloves at state sponsored oppression and delivers multiple knock out blows.  Already enjoying extensive international airplay, crank this up full dial.

Distributed by Ingrooves / Universal.  Streaming on Spotify

London rapper Phoenix da Icefire & producer Husky Brown drop their incredible new album "Panacea" on May 5th

The themes covered by The Triple Darkness member address the environment, mental health, knife crime, racism, well being and aspiration.  The narrative is delivered with the highest caliber of lyricism and figurative wordplay over a soundtrack provided by Husky which skillfully blends a fresh fusion of hip hop, soul, r&b, electronica, dub and bass.

The second single from the album "Dark Rainbow Light" b/w "Sins of Gaia" released through New Dawn Records today.  Husky laces "Dark Rainbow Light" with some soulful traditional hip hop flavours as Phoenix reflects on the challenges of inner city life while searching a better path, with the lo fi beats of Sins of Gaia paints the backdrop for an attack on institutional racism with the remix provided by Kashmere (YNR Productions, Tru Thoughts, High Focus).

Released today through New Dawn Records, digitally distributed by Ingrooves / Universal and available to stream and download from all major digital stores & streaming platforms including Apple, Tidal, Amazon & Spotify

New EP out today through the recently re-launched label New Dawn Records.

'18 Showdown' includes all the remixes produced by the legendary turntablist Krash Slaughta (DMC Finals / II Tone Committee) for the Belles in Monica crew which were originally released on 12" vinyl with the addition of new cut "Venom".  All are now available to stream and download for the first time.

The DJ's renowned production style fusing imaginative soundscapes, driving beats and immense scratch skills combine with storytelling rhymes and hard bars.  From the fuel injected funk and cutting frenzy of "Meltdown", to the sinister tension of "What D'Ya Need" and the sonic chaos of "Resistance is Futile", the EP is a rare collection of artistically expressive and powerful hip hop immersed in a golden era just as a new decade comes in to view.

Krash Slaughta continues to release new material and perform live regularly.  New Dawn Records will announce a new release schedule for 2020 by artists from the USA and UK shortly.
